By your side

Take a look at our step by step guide for tenants below to get you in the best position to secure your perfect rental home.

Step by
step

  • Register as an applicant
Firstly, contact us to register as an applicant to ensure you are the first to know about new properties coming to market.
  • Get browsing
Get browsing for properties you might be interested in viewing, taking the area, local amenities, and transport links into account. Be sure to find out what extra costs might be involved too, such as council tax and parking costs.
  • Book some viewings!
Book in viewings on properties that take your fancy. The rental market moves quickly so be sure to act if you find one you like and be as prepared to apply when you go for the viewing.
  • Fill out your tenancy application
Tenant competition is high for lots of rental properties, even more so in busy periods like the summer. Be sure to fill out an application as quickly as possible if you are interested to avoid missing out. Upon applying, your affordability and circumstances will be checked, don’t forget to add any specific or additional requirements into your application. Your application will be put forward to the landlord for them to make a decision. If you are the chosen applicant, references and a holding deposit will be requested. Subject to reference checks, a move-in date will be arranged and a tenancy agreement signed.
  • Move in!
On move-in day, you will be required to pay the first month’s rent. From there, you will be handed the keys ready to move in!

As a Landlord I have found Redbrik Estate Agents to be a great help.
Nowadays the law often seems to be on the side of the tenant but Redbrik offer much help and guidance for the landlord also and I feel that my property is safe in their hands.
Georgina who manages my property is professional and friendly and a pleasure to correspond with, always replying to any questions or problems I have very quickly.
If you have a property to let Redbrik will help you find a suitable tenant and therefore a certain peace of mind about who is occupying it. This to me is worth a lot because it can save so much expense and disruption in the future.
Highly recommended Estate Agents!
