Deposits vary from property to property and all depend on the rental price. As a compliant agent we will take no more than five weeks rent as a deposit.
Tenancy terms changed with the implementation of the Renters' Rights Act. All tenancies are now Assured Periodic Tenancies and therefore roll month-by-month.
You will be expected to give two month's notice to your landlord, in line with your rent due date.
If the maintenance required is due to wear and tear or property failure, your landlord will be responsible for the maintenance. However if you have accidentally caused damage, you will be responsible to pay for this.
Before the confirmed moving out date, you’ll need to arrange a check-out appointment with our lettings team. The property should be left clean, tidy and in good condition, with all personal belongings removed and keys returned on or before your agreed move-out date. Following the check-out, we’ll compare the condition of the property against the original inventory and confirm the return of your deposit.
