Mental Health Awareness Week

#Charity & Community

Our mental health is a crucial aspect of our overall well-being that can sometimes be neglected in the hustle and bustle of our every day lives. As we mark this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week, we’ve also rounded up some of our team’s favourite places to relax, unwind, and clear our minds in Chesterfield, Sheffield, and beyond, featuring some beautiful locations and incredible businesses, too.

Chesterfield

Linacre Reservoir

Recommended by Thea, Marketing Manager

A tranquil spot with miles of winding paths, picturesque views, and a chance to reconnect with nature. A long walk through nature and some fresh air can do wonders for your mental well-being.

Queens Park Gym

Recommended by Ross, Property Consultant

Offering a range of facilities to help you work up a sweat, Queens Park Gym is one of our favourite places to clear our minds after a busy working day.

The Project Gym

Recommended by Jen, Property Consultant

With an inclusive environment, varied classes, and emphasis on personal development, The Project promotes the release of endorphins, fosters a supportive community, and builds a resilience to stimulate your mind and enhance your mood.

Sheffield

Endcliffe Park, up to Forge Dam

Recommended by David, Director

A popular spot to take a leisurely lunch time stroll, enjoy a picnic, or soak up some summer sunshine, and less than a five-minute walk from our Ecclesall Road office.

The park also connects to Forge Dam, via a short walk past Shephard Wheel, where you can enjoy a coffee and a spot of lunch.

R1SE

Recommended by Claire, HR & Talent Manager

Another neighbour of our Ecclesall Road office, R1SE offers hot yoga and Pilates classes. With a unique approach to exercise that combines mindfulness with physical challenges to help you improve your mental and physical well-being.

Weston Park Museum

Recommended by Tammy, Client Services Team

With a range of exhibits covering everything from natural history to Sheffield’s industrial heritage, the museum is a great place to stimulate your mind, learn something new, and take a break from the stresses of daily life.

Beyond

Chatsworth House

Recommended by Louise, Sales Manager

A short drive from both Chesterfield and Sheffield, the gardens at Chatsworth House provide a beautiful backdrop for an afternoon stroll of reflection and relaxation, with other 100 acres to explore.

This Mental Health Awareness Week, Redbrik is taking a step towards promoting mental wellness by encouraging all team members to #TakeTen – spending ten minutes of their working day doing something that nurtures their mental health. Our commitment to improving mental wellbeing continues all year round, as we carry the lessons learned and integrate the positive habits formed throughout Mental Health Awareness Week into our everyday lives.
