We sat down with Claire Shipman, Area Manager of Redbrik North West Sheffield to discuss her career, the area and of course Redbrik’s brand new Fox Valley branch and new coffee & deli venture, Raffina.
What is your background, and when did you begin your career in estate agency?
I have worked in property since 2005, valuing across Sales, Letting and New Homes. Estate agency is a real passion for me, we’re lucky to have so many stunning properties in our area and I love getting to know home-movers and helping them get to where they want to be.
What do you love about Fox Valley and North West Sheffield?
The community in North West Sheffield is lovely and vibrant, with an amazing variety in the demographic and families that have lived here for a long time. The area and its people are well established and have created a beautiful environment to live in and call home. I love the mix of rural and small townships, stretching from Chapeltown to Hillsborough, and Worrall to Penistone.
The area is growing in development in new home sites and facilities, with Fox Valley Shopping centre, restaurants, supermarkets, Chapeltown Saturday Craft & Street Food market and Oughtibridge Valley. We have brilliant tram, train and bus networks, leisure facilities and social clubs along with some great schools, parks and access to the beautiful countryside and reservoirs that surround us.
What are your plans for the North West Sheffield branch in 2021?
Our staff are local and love using their in-depth knowledge of the region to help people move to the homes they want and deserve. I have always been a big believer in genuine, quality customer service, open and honest hard work and simply being nice! Bundling this with our know-how in getting sellers the best price in a good time frame – I’m confident we’re bringing a service that can really help people.
The North West team and I will uphold Redbrik’s high standards and community involvement, keeping up our charity work and events through the Redbrik Foundation. It’s so exciting to be managing Redbrik’s sixth branch since the company was founded in 2013.
Are you looking forward to being a part of Redbrik’s brand new venture, Raffina?
Having been fortunate enough to open a brand new branch before, I know the hours and hard work it takes and what an exciting time it can be. Having Raffina opening with us makes it even more exciting. Having a social, relaxed environment for customers to pop in, grab a coffee and a snack or treat while talking through their property needs will make for a friendly atmosphere and pleasant experience.
In 2020 Redbrik introduced an All-Inclusive package for their sellers. This includes their solicitors to sell cost. How has that been going?
It’s always lovely to offer customers something different. It’s even better when that something different really works and is a true benefit to the customer. Since June 2020, we have offered the All-Inclusive package, where we work with our partner solicitors on sale transactions from day one, safeguarding the sale and making the process simpler and faster. I have had some lovely feedback and many thank you’s from happy customers; it’s all about fewer properties falling through, better communication and a more comprehensive service.
