Redbrik take on Sheffield United Ladies to raise £1,500 for three local charities

Redbrik took on Sheffield United Ladies at Bramall Lane to raise money for three local charities in Chesterfield, Rotherham and Sheffield.

A team of our staff  swapped their office attire for football kits at a special fundraising match at Sheffield United’s Bramall Lane stadium.

The match saw Redbrik claim the honours with a 4 – 3 victory, with co-founder Mark Ross and valuer, Ross Bateman among the scorers.

The event raised £1,500 which will be split between equally Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, Ashgate Hospice and The Children’s Hospital Charity.

Mark said: “We had a fantastic day playing against the Sheffield United Ladies team – it was a really good game for all concerned. We’ve raised a fantastic amount of money for our chosen charities so here’s to a rematch next year!

“I’d like to thank Carla Ward, the players of SUFC Ladies and the staff at Bramall Lane for giving us the opportunity to play and helping us raise £1,500.”

Dave McCarthy, operations director at Sheffield United, said: “We really enjoy offering our facilities at the end of the season for charity and corporate games. The charity games have been a huge success this year, raising a lot of money for many great, local causes. Roll on next season!”
