The Redbrik Foundation: Supporting local communities across South Yorkshire & Derbyshire

At Redbrik, helping people move is only part of the story. Through the Redbrik Foundation, we support charities, community groups and organisations making a real difference across South Yorkshire and Derbyshire.

Established in 2020, the Redbrik Foundation was created with a simple aim: to give something meaningful back to the communities we work in every day.

Since then, the Foundation has raised and donated around £65,000 to local charities and community organisations, supporting projects that improve the lives of children and young people, older and vulnerable people, and those living with disabilities.

Supporting the people & organisations making a difference

From small community groups to established charities, the organisations we support are often doing vital work right at the heart of their communities.

Our approach goes beyond one-off donations. Where possible, we want to build lasting relationships with the organisations we support - helping them continue their work, reach more people and raise awareness of the difference they make locally.

Supporting b:friend

Most recently, the Redbrik Foundation donated £2,000 to b:friend, a charity working to tackle loneliness and social isolation.

Through regular companionship and community-based support, b:friend helps people build meaningful connections and feel less isolated - providing an important service to individuals who may otherwise have limited social contact.

It’s exactly the kind of locally focused work the Foundation was created to support.

More than donations

Financial support is only one part of the Foundation’s work. Raising awareness, bringing people together and creating opportunities for communities to get involved are just as important.

One of the biggest dates in our calendar is the Redbrik Foundation Chesterfield 10K, bringing together runners, local businesses, partners, volunteers and supporters to raise funds for local causes.

The event has become an important part of the Foundation’s fundraising and gives us another opportunity to celebrate the organisations doing brilliant work across Chesterfield and the wider region.

Looking ahead

As the Redbrik Foundation grows, our focus remains firmly local.

We’ll continue supporting charities and community organisations across South Yorkshire and Derbyshire, building stronger partnerships and sharing more of the stories behind the people and causes we work with.

Because being part of a community should mean more than simply working in it.
